HFBE is an independent securities valuation and investment banking firm providing valuations, fairness opinions, merger and acquisition advisory services, and private placement assistance. HFBE’s experienced professionals have been providing opinions regarding the value of securities of companies, both debt and equity, as well as interests in partnerships for over thirty-five years. The majority of our clients are closely held companies, although we have also provided opinions for publicly traded companies who have thinly traded securities as well the Internal Revenue Service.
Valuation
HFBE performs valuations for a variety of purposes including estate and gift tax, financial reporting, fairness opinions, and equity-based compensation plans such as ESOPs, profit sharing plans, and deferred compensation plans.

HFBE’s investment banking activities focus on corporate finance services such as merger and acquisition, leveraged recapitalization and private placement of debt and equity capital. HFBE focuses on middle market companies in the real estate and energy industries.
