Financial Analyst Position – Valuation Group
HFBE’s analyst program is a great opportunity for talented new graduates to fully utilize the skills acquired in college. Analysts will work directly with associates, vice presidents and managing directors of the firm on a variety of complex task and challenging assignments.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Performing financial modeling, forecasting, and quantitative analysis
- Participating in due diligence meetings and conducting company, industry, and economic research
- Analyzing general economic conditions and industry specific conditions and trends
- Performing corporate valuations including analysis of discounted cash flows, capitalization of earnings, comparable companies, and merger and acquisition transactions
- Preparing written valuation reports for client presentation
- Participating in the hiring, training, and management of part-time college interns
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree (finance or accounting majors preferred)
- Minimum 3.4 overall GPA
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Proficient in Excel
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
